SplashID Safe Teams Edition Updated to Give Businesses More Options for Securing Passwords

LOS GATOS, CA -- SplashData today released a major new update to the business version of its SplashID Safe password manager. The new version includes new administrative controls, new mobile apps, and provides IT managers the option of storing records on a companys own internal network server or SplashDatas secure cloud service.

SplashID Volume Licensing is designed for small- and medium-sized businesses to enable employees to create and manage passwords and other credentials and then share selected records as needed. Business and enterprise teams can extend the power of SplashID Safe by enabling employees to organize and share account numbers, access codes, project credentials, web logins, and FTP and server information.

Collaboration among colleagues and team members is simple and secure with SplashID Safe Teams Edition. The password management service, which includes cross-platform support for Windows, Mac, Web and mobile versions for iOS and Android, enables an IT manager to set up an account on the web with multiple users who can then access the database from native SplashID Safe client applications on any platform.

Centralized control is essential for a business to ensure logins, passwords and other critical records stored on dozens of devices and computers are secure. SplashID Safe for Teams offers powerful administrative panel controls to give businesses, enterprise departments or cross-functional teams the ability to create users and groups and set permissions. This feature enables IT managers to control which employees can see specific types of records and to review logs of usage. From the administrative control panels, IT managers can also schedule and manage back-ups of SplashID records.

"Business and enterprise users of SplashID Safe requested a solution that would be as easy to set up as Salesforce or Dropbox, and with the flexibility for records to be stored internally or on our servers," said Morgan Slain, CEO of SplashData. "With the ability for teams to securely share records, SplashID Safe reduces common issues like calls to IT for lost credentials, sticky notes with passwords written on them, and emails of logins that can create security risks."

SplashID Volume Licensing is available at http://www.splashid.com/teams. The service is free to try for 30 days for a limited number of users. Subscriptions are $5 per user per month and enable each user to access all SplashID Safe Teams Edition client applications, including versions for iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, Mac OS, and web browsers.
